What is the grinding process of a vertical mill?
The grinding process of a vertical mill is completed by a set of
grinding devices (i.e. rollers and discs), where the material is
ground into powder between the rollers and discs. The movement of
the grinding device is driven by the rotation of the grinding disc
and the corresponding driving of the grinding roller transmission.
In addition to the self weight of the grinding roller, the grinding
pressure mainly relies on a set of hydraulic devices to pressurize
the material of the grinding disc. After grinding, there is a large
amount of coarse powder in the material. After being selected by
the matching powder selection machine, the powder selection process
is through airflow sorting. During the airflow process, most of the
coarse powder automatically falls onto the grinding plate and is
received for re grinding. The rest is selected as finished products
by the powder selection machine and sent to the finished product
storage warehouse through the dust collection and transportation
system.

Working principle: The electric motor drives the grinding disc to rotate through a reducer, and the material falls into the center of the grinding disc from the feeding port. Under the action of centrifugal force, the material moves towards the edge of the grinding disc and is crushed by the grinding roller when passing through the circular groove on the grinding disc. The crushed material is carried up by the high-speed airflow at the edge of the grinding disc, and large particles directly fall onto the grinding disc for re grinding. When the material in the airflow passes through the dynamic and static separator, under the action of the rotating rotor, the coarse powder falls onto the grinding disc for re grinding, and qualified fine powder is discharged with the airflow, Collect in the powder collection device, which is the product. Materials containing moisture are dried during contact with hot gases to achieve the required product moisture.
